Branding decisions

Branding is an important art of product mix. It is used to identify the seller or maker of the product. Brands suggests product differences to customers. They convey attributes, image, values and benefits. Most products are branded. Brand is equated with quality and prestige.
·         A brand name consists of words, letters and numbers
·         A brand mark appears in the form of symbol, design, sign, and color. It is recognized by eyes
·         A trademark is a legally protected brand. It implies ownership and exclusive right to use by the user
·         A brand equity is the value a brand adds to product.
